Rue St Charles
“Rue St Charles” is a piece I wrote reminiscing about the Parisian apartment I lived in last month, inspired by the calm mornings with peaceful sun rays pouring through the windows.
In all these many paradox of feelings I’ve been feeling lately, I try to find grounding and peace in stillness and silences. This is what the nostalgia in “Rue St. Charles” is about. It’s not perfect, and maybe not even done yet, but this is it…in the right here, right now.

An Ode To Self
This piece is about longing..for the past self. It’s about simply existing and not living, and not knowing how to break the cycle. It’s about regrets of not being there and not listening to the inner self and questioning, “where have you been all these while? Why did you leave me?” It’s about seeing glimpses of the past self and feeling a sense of nostalgia. It’s about recognising the fear that stops me from living and now, wanting to be alive again.
Lighthouse
I won’t say that you complete me
I won’t say I can’t live without you
I won’t tell you how I feel so empty
With each and every step you walk away
I know the truth and I’m telling you
I hold no sugared lies
As you take a step through my inner veil
I have nothing left to hide
So take my words, believe me when I say these words to you
Can you see me, when you look into your heart?
Like a lighthouse, you shine through the dark
You see me through my flaws and bitter scars
If I hit the rock or, if I fall
I won’t go very far
Like a lighthouse, shining through the night
Let us brave the storm
Let the waves crash on
Still you’re standing strong
Steer my closer to you
You’re my lighthouse, shining in the dark
If our walk through life would be simple
I would fold my doubts and throw them all away
There were times when our walls would crumble
But you found your way and held me through the cracks
You know sometimes that distance is all we need
So you let me go, and trust me with your heart
I went away and saw a different world
Walking away is not the same as never leaving
You deserve the truth, and here I am
I hold no fancy lies
I’m baring you my soul, my all and everything inside
So take my words, believe me when I say these words to you
Can you see me, when you look into your heart?
Like a lighthouse, you shine through the dark
You see me through my flaws and bitter scars
If I hit the rock or, if I fall
I won’t go very far
Like a lighthouse, shining through the night
